BRIDGEWATER'S IDYLLIC ITALY - The story so far:
Barry and Christine Pearson began renting villas on Tuscany's golden coast in 1973. This area of Italy still remains our specialist area of expertise although we are pleased to offer the same level of service and quality accommodation in other beautiful areas of Italy such as the Tuscan countryside, Umbria, Italian lakes, Campania, Sicily, Sardinia, Le Marche, Lazio, Puglia & Veneto. Bridgewater's Idyllic Italy remains family owned and managed by the Pearson family. Christine, Nicola and Lucy Pearson speak Italian and have an excellent knowledge of this wonderful country, its regions, food, history and culture. We will support you through the process of sourcing the perfect villa for your holiday and be on hand should you require assistance during your stay.

Top tip for travellers:
It's worth taking a drive in to the hillside behind Pietrasanta & Camaiore on the Tuscan coast - you will find some of the most authentic, family run restaurants that Tuscany has to offer. Traditional recipes handed down through generations & cooked using local organic fayre - like 'Mamma' used to make.

She has been part of the Bridgewater Team since she graduated from Uni in 2000.
Nicola's Favourite place in Italy: Procchio bay, island of Elba. Crystal clear waters!
What to eat and drink: Vermentino di Luni & fresh 'Fritto misto'
Where to stay: Villa Camaiore sleeps 8. Walk to Camaiore old town centre.
Top tip for travellers: If you're travelling with a baby it's worth knowing that
not all bottled water in Italy is suitable to give to young children.
The bottle will display a picture of a baby to show it's baby friendly.

before joining the family business in 2007.

Pietrasanta, Tuscany coast. 'City of art and artists' What to eat and drink:

Top tip for travellers:
Don't miss apertivo time: 7pm - 9 pm in most towns,
the bars serve a selection of complimentary antipasti. Also - always order
your coffee at the bar in Italy, the price is regulated so you pay the same
price whether you're in a 5* hotel or a local café
