Stunning coastlines to rival those of the tropics, with white sandy beaches and clear turqoise waters! This stunning island (the second largest in the Medieterranean) has an atmosphere and personality of its own. The locals proudly maintian that they are Sardinian first and Italian second. However, there is much more to Sardinia than just beautiful beaches with hidden coves and pretty bays only reachable by boat.

Prehistoric settlements scatter the landscape, and inland tiny ancient villages are surrounded by rugged mountain scenery. The prestigious 'Costa Smerelda', where the Aga Khan's development enhances the superb scenery, provides a truly luxurious and unspoilt setting for the discerning holiday-maker whereas 'Alghero' in the West is a captivating walled town with a strong Spanish flavour.

Food alone is one of the main reasons to visit Sardinia. You will sample some of the best sea-food available in the Medieterranean, excellent local wines, and typical Sard pastries and desserts which you won't be able to say no to!

If you’re looking for a beach holiday in Italy, your destination has to be no other than Sardinia. As the second largest island in the Med and surrounded by azure blue waters, Sardinia is an island paradise which offers beautiful beaches, a world of outdoor adventures and timeless historical charm.  This autonomous island off the Italian peninsula is divided into four provinces, each one interesting and unique, and each one dotted with archaeological remains which are the window into the country’s faraway past. And with hot summers and mild winters, this island is wonderful any time of year.

Visit Sardinia on your next Italian break and enjoy some of the best kept secrets in Europe; picture-perfect beaches, breathtaking nature, beautiful Bronze Age architecture, and ageless Sardinian cuisine which takes a lead from old, Italian recipes.

When you book a villa rental with Bridgewater's Idyllic Italy we are pleased to offer extra services which will enable your to personalise your holiday. Bridgewater's Finishing Touches enhance your enjoyment of the area leaving you free to relax and simply enjoy yourselves. Our aim is to make your arrival as stress free as possible and generally help to improve your holiday experience in Italy. We are occasionally asked why we don't automatically include some of the services in the villa rental... the reason being that our villa holidays are for people with varied tastes and individual requirements. Obviously if extra services are automatically included then these costs have to be built into the villa rental and this may not suit all our guests.

In most properties we can arrange for a full food/drinks hamper to be delivered to the villa. Contents may vary according to the season however local staff ensure value for money, the cost includes a standard local service charge for car petrol and time. Unfortunately we cannot take requests for specific items.

* Shopping service
* General hampers
* Luxury hampers of local delicacies
* Cases of wine

A great service for those who enjoy the freedom and independence of a villa holiday yet prefer a hotel type service.

To guarantee availability of the service, please book well in advance. Maid's duties include making/changing beds, sweeping and washing floors, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, washing dishes

Alternatively we can arrange for a chef to come and give you a one to one cookery lesson in your villa, or arrange a cookery day at an oil/wine producing estate. Please let us know at the time of booking if this is of interest to you. The chef / cook service is available at most of our properties
